How to Master: The Knitted Dress
Hej!
First of all, I would like to mention how sad I am for the tragic events that happened last Friday in Paris. Hereby I send all my support to the families who've lost dear ones and I make a call for PEACE and RESPECT.
Today I'd like to bring to you one of the trends from this fall/winter: The Knitted Dress. In fact, it started to be popular in summer and a lot of retail stores brought it to their collections and it was a great success! This season it seems it has finally arrived to stay for a while; but some of us may find a bit challenging to combine it.
The most seen in the streets is the midi version combined with other knitted pieces, like jackets or vests with sneakers or masculine shoes; however, these dresses have a lot of potential and there are a lot of ways to wear them.
Three of my favourite collections for this season have proven that the knitted dress is a key piece to have in your wardrobe: Ralph Lauren; Trussardi, Michael Kors; they all show how great it is if we pull it off by combining feminine and masculine pieces at the same time, like Michael Kors does with masculine shoes and fur jackets. Trussardi leaves the knitted dress for a more feminine look with maxi belts (they're back!) and glamour lips; Ralph Lauren opts for a more ready-to-office look with over-the-knee boots and one-colour ensemble which becomes very feminine and chic.

And the fact is that the knitted dress is a very versatile piece; do not get fooled by the street style pictures where our IT girls wear it with bear legs; the knitted dress is great with tights, over-the-knee boots, knitted pants ensemble, over leather leggings or jeans, with or without heels; you name it, the options are infinite.
As always, herewith I'm including some options for you to master the knitted dress; I've created four options, all of them very different.
1. OFFICE
I love this outfit. The statement jacket is awesome, and this dress works very well with a shirt under as well as a turtle neck. The belt and necklace gives glamour to the outfit. This look works well with flat oxfords/brogues.

2. AFTERWORK
This outfit works both for office and afterwork. The waistcoat compensates the bodycon knitted dress and makes it more office-like. Take off the waistcoat and this is a great combo for an afterwork with colleages!

3. DINNER OUT
Fancy but laid-back outfit. Very Eddie Sedgewick inspired and the Mod 60's style. Great to create attention on a Saturday night with friends in the bar.
DRESS: Asos COAT: Mango BOOTS: Zara BAG: Uterqüe GLOVES: H&M SCARF: Zara HAT: Zara
4. BRUNCH
Great cozy (but chic) outfit that is perfect for a Sunday brunch with friends, boyfriend, family. I love the long gloves, they instantly elevate the whole outfit to chic sporty. And by the way, velcro sneakers are in!!!
