The crazy weeks of fashion weeks are almost over and with that our brains are soaked with what the next trends will be, what colours we will be wearing and what pieces MUST we buy to fill our closets with. But fashion weeks are not only catwalks and big designers, the street itself with our favourite IT girls and trend setters are maybe bigger influencers in our ready-to-wear apparel. Something that catched my eye and that I think it'll have its rentré in spring/summer 2016 is the METALLIC PLEATED SKIRT.   In fact, these skirts came into our lives during fall 2015 and I recall a very nice silver pleated one from Zara that I regret not shopping after all.     Loewe Fall/Winter 2015, Altuzzarra 2015, Gucci Resort 2016    Casasola 2015, Christopher Kane 2015   Personally, I think metallics in general are so great for spring/summer, I love how they shine under the sun and how they give that extra glam feeling. I will defenitely get myself one of these skirts. How would I wear it? The main character here is the skirt itself, so play with colours and keep the acessories on a second role. Spring and summer times are coming and thus it's time to widen our colour palette and let pastels and bold colours fill our dark wintery closets.   Although these street style inspo it's very much black and gold/silver; I choose the cool way Alexa Chung combines her skirts and the retro inspired look with bourdeaux boots and screen sunglasses.  Love it!     I've pulled off two outfits with two metallic pleated skirts. Both outfits are more for spring; the first for a more casual occasion, and the second one for a more formal gathering, maybe day wedding or a baptism or any other occasion you may want to celebrate.
