CHRISTMAS LOOKS 2015: OFFICE PARTY
With Christmas festivities around the corner, our agendas get busy with all the appointments, reunions with family and friends and of course the oh-so-awaited- OFFICE CHRISTMAS DINNER; and getting dressed for all these events is always a challenge, and of course a good excuse to hit the stores and get a new sequin jacket, top or dress. If Christmas means something, it does mean BLING BLING for me, so the more, the merrier, but in adequate dosis.
With this post I start a sequence of posts dedicated exclusively to suggest looks and outfits to wear in the different Christmas appointments.
This first one is dedicated to the Office lunch or dinner; a classic in Christmas time.
The key is to surprise pleasantly and catch the eye of our colleagues and bosses by pulling of a look with a statement and elegant outfit but without screaming for attention.
We have to find that middle point in that we aren't too casual (no jeans, no sporty garments) and we're not too dressed-up. I do reccomend to leave the sequins and the bling bling for other occasions as well as the sexy garments such as deep V-necks and short tight skirts and strong and screamy monochrome outfits such pink and orange (red is a good option if we only wear it in a top, or skirt, or jacket).
Our best friends here will be elegant and sober pieces like the Little Black Dresses (LBD), suite trousers, blouses, blazers, dressy skirts (not too tight), and accessories like heels, statement clutches and jewellery. If we want to add an edgy turnover to the look, I do suggest pattern in the top or in the bottoms, but not in both. Colours like Klein Blue, Wine Red and Masala are sure winners.
If your work environment and policies allow it or maybe your a more edgy girl, then why not getting a jumpsuit or a one-colour suit; you will sure make a statement. You can as well opt for a more laid-back look but classy with a crisp white shirt and patterned trousers or going for a pencil leather skirt or a full-midi skirt with a cropped top (my favourite combo)
As always, I am suggesting 4 LOOKS with different combinations that I'm sure you'll "rock" at your Christmas office Party.
