VALBORG.

On Tuesday I put on a velvet top and headed to work for a few hours.  Spent the afternoon with my girls, laid down in the sun in the park and chatted about life, played charades, hugged. Then their grandparents came over from Sweden, we had some Champagne before I excused myself to go off on a little adventure.  Got the RER C, looked out over the gorgeous sunset over the Seine.  Goal of the night was Cite Universitaire and the Swedish student house! Met up with fellow Swedes (and Nick who is from Canada but seems to like the Swedes :))) ), had a hot dog.  And watched the bonfire! I must say I was slightly disappointed... I'm used to the bonfires for Valborg being a lot bigger than this, and also that they go on for a lot longer! This one was out before it was even dark outside?? But hey, I shouldn't complain, we still had a nice time and it's cool that they organise this every year.  After we were all fired out we wandered up the street, to Buttes aux Cailles. A super cozy neighbourhood that Duncan and I used to hang out in often before he moved in with me. It's like its own little village in the city, a hidden gem if you wish.  We had a couple of beers before getting the metro back to our usual quarters. Picked up D. at Moose and ended the night at The Highlander. Like the good old days.. could not count how many times I've walked down this little alley. Today is grey and rainy, I'm still in comfy clothes but have made plans with my ladies for later so I'm not going to feel too bad about not having left the house just yet...
