Friday at Hellfest started with some table decorating!  And pizza! This was one of the better food trucks this year, cheap and really yummy margheritas. To be eaten under the trees in the Kingdom of Muscadet :)  Found our buddy Victor! Compared schedules and caught up.  Saluted Lemmy on our way in to the warzone.  Where we were seeing Me first and the gimme gimmes! They do punk covers of all kinds of stuff, from Neil Diamond to Cher. Fun!!  👯‍♀️ Then it was time for Dropkick Murphys! Unfortunately Duncan and I lost each other around here, and I couldn't find Angela whom we were supposed to meet up with either.. but I hung out with our new friend Kat! Being surrounded by Kats seems to be my lot in life, nice but a little bit confusing after a while >< Great gig, although I spent a large part of it looking for Duncan.. tricky in the immense crowd right by the stage :/ Fast forward a few hours, we had located each other and after a break by camp we headed back in!  It was time for round two of Sabaton!  Manowar, who had been announced as headliners the year before, had cancelled last minute, for still unknown reasons. So Sabaton jumped in! This became the joke of the year, "my car broke down! Don't worry, Sabaton will come!" "Can't find my shoes! They've been replaced by Sabaton!" etc etc etc. Hehehe.  This was on Midsummers Eve, a very big deal in Sweden, so it was nice for me to see a Swedish band :) felt a bit closer to home!  Wandered past the big wheel on the way out, D. was very keen to make me have a go.. I'm very afraid of heights so was relieved when they closed off the gates. Phew.  Loved Captain Spaulding on the wall though!!  Ended the night in the party tent! No Metal Corner, but what can you do.. Thanks for a solid Friday Hellfest ❤
