BISHOP GUNN & THE STRUTS @ LE TRABENDO.
Yesterday I dragged Duncan along to hang out by Le Trabendo with me for a couple of hours 😇 The Struts were playing later on, after ticketmaster lost my ticket (LOST IT) without even apologising Kat saved the day and gave me her ticket 😭❤ Pretty amazing friend right there. After three hours of standing outside in the cold (D. stayed until he had to go to work ❤) I was in! Made my way up to the front of the stage. The Trabendo is a tiny little venue so you can see pretty well from anywhere in the place, but I always want to be as near to the action as possible of course :))) A band called Bishop Gunn opened, I'd never heard them before but they were GREAT! It instantly felt like a two concert in one-kind of night, instead of waiting for the first act to finish to get to the good stuff. A bluesy deep south kind of sound, loved it. The singer had a very cool style too 😎 A really great way to kick off the night! Then it was time for THE STRUTS! Yay!! The energy was instantly up to 100%, Luke Spiller (the singer) must be absolutely destroyed after every gig, I've never seen anything like him before! What a star. I also harbour extreme wardrobe envy :)))) Second outfit of the night 😍🤩 At one point he had the whole crowd on our knees (yes, literally), then he stepped out in to the middle and started a sing-off. Not a dull moment!! The rest of the band got down on stage :))) I really do think I had the best spot in the place, I was on the side of the barrier so had nothing blocking my view at any time! Again - wardrobe goals!!!!!!! On the back it said "Sir Rock and Roll" 😍 What a night, what a band!! I got a handshake from Luke at the end of the gig, the cherry on top! Can't wait to see them again, thank you The Struts!!!
