FIRST DAY IN EDINBURGH

Touchdown - it was sunny and pretty warm: perfect weather to explore the city. First stop, drop of the luggage and put on sunglasses!  After exploring the neighbourhood, a coffee in the sun followed by a glass of prosecco it was lunch o'clock. Oh, how I was looking forward to eat, I was starving and had already looked at the menu online and knew that the restaurant had food exactly in my taste. After a few hours in this city something that struck me was how very kind, friendly and helpful everyone was. Fishers In The City is a seafood and fish bistro in a stylish converted warehouse with contemporary surroundings. Let's just say it was not an easy choice to chose what to eat, I wish I could have tasted a bit of everything. It all sounded and looked delicious!  As the moules fan I am, when my eyes saw the line "Steamed Shetland Mussels with your choice of source" on the menu it was given. That was my starter and wow it was superb! The choice of main course was harder, but after way too long time of rolling back and forth, I decided to go for Fillet of North Sea Cod with sprouting broccoli and lemon beurre blanc. My rating? Fish dish heaven! The fish was perfectly mad and melted in my mouth and the broccoli was the best broccoli I've ever had. I didn't know broccoli could taste THAT yummy. It may look simple for the eye but the flavours of the food was something else.
