Wedding Bouquet - Roses, Peonies and Eucalyptus

While the photos from our big little ceremony are getting finalized, I thought I would post some photos of the flower bouquet and how it all came together. I sort of knew what kind of style I wanted, nothing too tight or strict, but more free and "wild". Same with the color pallet, something pink, peach, white and green. I saved some inspo pictures and set my eye on visiting the famous Chelsea flower market. This is where all the florists and wholesalers buy their flowers everyday.  These are a few of the inspo pictures I had saved. These bouquets are bit more "wild" than what I wanted, but still in the style I wanted. So I ended up buying four different flowers - roses, peonies, eucalyptus and hypericum (the white berries). I was so worried that I hadn't gotten enough flowers, but when I unpacked all of them I realized that the roses had a second layer (!!) of additional flowers. So all of a sudden I had enough and then some haha. There is no photos of me making the bouquet, because I was just too much "in the zone". But it took me a good one a a half hour to trim the flowers, arrange them and bind them with flower tape. I was so nervous the whole time, because what if it wouldn't look good or be too loose. But once I wrapped them all with lots of flower tape (an absolute necessity) and cut the long stems down, it really came together.  So here is the finished result! My wedding bouquet, made all by myself. I was and am super happy with how it turned out. So much better than I was hoping for. It did end up being a bit heavier than expected, a good 3-4 pounds lol. This is also taken with my iPhone, so might not be the best quality, but it looked really good in person. A few moments before we left our apartment to take a taxi to City Clerk's Office in Manhattan.
