SALES!! (part 1)
Hello!! First of all I want to apologise for updating so late and for my lack of posts. As said in my previous post, I have been enjoying some time with my family in Barcelona and I have been taking the chance of spending as much time as possible with them, nieces and nephew, friends, and of course enjoy my beautiful city. Sales are finally in town and soon they'll be down to 60-70% off. So herewith I'd like to give you some of my personal reccommendations for what to get in Sales. 1. POP OF YELLOW Lately I am obsessed with yellow. I've never been so fond of yellow but I have seen it quite a lot in women here in Barcelona by wearing pops of yellow in coats, jumpers or even boots, and I must say that my conception of this color has changed. To my happiness, Jennifer Lopez wore a fantastic yellow gown in the Golden Globes and it is one of the must colours for next season; so I am defenitely getting some pops of yellow to fulfil my closet this spring. Coat, MANGO Pants, ZARA Blazer, ZARA Dress, COS Bag, Topshop Shoes, ASOS 2. SUEDE, SUEDE, SUEDE in all shapes, pieces and colours. It is the material of the year, and yes, it is still going big for next season. You can get almost anything now in suede; or suedette, the cheaper sister of suede. One of my latest acquisitions has been a shirt from Mango in army green suede and a red bucket back. The shit? Get suede pieces and bold colours like red, klein blue or even orange. Cape, ZARA Jacket, MANGO Skirt, ZARA Trench, MANGO Midi Skirt, ASOS Pants, H&M Bag, H&M 3. STRAIGHT BLAZER A basic in every woman's closet. But what I'm suggesting here it isn't the traditional office blazer, what I think it's cool and will bring you a more edgy look is to get a destructered blazer; i.e. with no filling in the shoulders and no shape in the waist; they're a bit longer and they marry with almost anything! :) Green Blazer, H&M Navy Blazer, ZARA Grey Blazer, Topshop Striped Blazer, MANGO 4. TURTLE NECK What's winter without a great cosy jumper? Personally, I like this year's turtle neck fetiche. You can wear them alone just per se, under a shirt, under a waistcoat or even under a dress. They will also give you that 70's vibe if you match them with your flares and a suede trench coat. And yes, during sales, turtle necks are cheap; I'm sure you'll find bargains! Grey Striped Jumper, MANGO Black Jumper, ZARA Wine Red Jumper, H&M Pink Top, Bik Bok 5. FLARE PANTS Do you really want to get a new pair of skinny jeans? Seriously, I'm sure you already have so many! What I like from sales time is that I can purchase pieces that otherwise I wouldn't get. This year will be a pair of flare pants. I like thinking in the seasons to come when I go sales shopping; and thus flares will be my next acquisition. Blue flared jeans, ZARA Beige flared pants, ZARA Black flared jeans, LINDEX 6. WHITE SNEAKERS If possible, Adidas Stan Smith or Superstar; but any white sneakers would work. They are at great prices at the moment and they will bring you that cool and laid back look we want to achieve during the weekends. Try to wear down a pencil skirt by adding a cosy baggy turtle neck and a pair of white sneakers! Adidas Stan Smith (green), Zalando Vans, Stadium Leopard Adidas Superstar, ADIDAS No Name, Sarenza 7. THE BUCKET BAG Ideally I'd love to have Mansur Gavriel's bucket bag, but unfortunately it is out of my budget so I'm counting on our favourite budget friendly stores for a clon :) It is a very versatile bag and it's been a hit this season. It's versatile 'cause you really can combine it with almost anything, for a casual event as for a fancier one. They now come in many sizes and materials; as said, I've got one in red suede and I love it! Fringed bag, ZARA Ethnic Bag, MANGO Leopard bag, ASOS Red Bag, Cosi Bcn This is it for today; soon I'll get back to you with the second part of my Sales reccommendations and with much more inspiration. And please, don't hesitate to contact me for questions! Have fun shopping :) Love /Mariona
