5 ways to wear a sweater
Hello! This week I'm back with some "how to wear" inspiration; and I'm bringing to you 5 cool ways to wear a sweater. The sweater is probably the most versatile garment a girl can have in her wardrobe; you can wear it to go to school, office and fancy events; but they're also great for our relaxed looks in winter weekends. What you may have not practiced yet is the other alternative ways to wear them, beyond the casual "on jeans and skirts". Our fashion insiders and favourite "it girls" are creating amazing looks in the street with some other ways that are very exciting and very easy to copy. Wanna have a look? keep reading :) 1. AS A DRESS Obviously, this look can be worn with the knitted dress that is so in trend at the moment and that I even dedicated a full post with inspirational ways to wear it; but here I am posting about that type of sweater that is a bit more slouchy and that ideally isn't longer than your mid thighs; just think of a mini knitted dress. They look great with some over-the-knee boots to compensate that nakedness of skin. Here, I wanted to achieve a sleek combo that works for the office and for weekends; a black&white combo is never a bad idea. Coat, ZARA Boots, ASOS Dress, ZARA Bag, MANGO Scarf, Gina Tricot 2. WITH A BELT The most chic way to enhance our waist and stylize a chunky oversized sweater is applying a slim belt or a wider one on top of our sweater with a pair of jeans or skirt; it is a must try! This time I tried to recreate Pernille's chic look with a bit of a twist and contrast. Sweater, COS Jeans, ZARA Shirt, Weekday Booties, Uterque Coat, MANGO Belt, MANGO Bag, & Other Stories 3. OVER A DRESS We may be comfortable in wearing sweaters with skirts, but have you ever tried to put a sweater on your favourite dress? I must confess that it is a look that it was a bit hard for me at first, but after my last trip to my hometown Barcelona, I started to like it more and more, 'cause there you can wear your chunky sweaters as jacket (even in winter!) and lots of the local girls had them over their flowy dresses. I loved the combo and I like a lot the boho vibe we can get with these looks, very nice for spring and summer looks. I encourage you all to try it! I have chosen a sort of total burgundy look and tried to pulled a chic bohemian outfit for those sunny winter days. By tucking I mean putting your sweater inside your skirt or pants; you can as well try the half-tuck; tucking your sweater in the front and leaving it out in the back. The fabric doesn't matter that much; whether is a fine wool sweater or chunky, cable knitted or ribbed sweater, oversized or more tight-fitting; what is currently on trend is to wear them tucked in like everything: a-shaped skirts, flared or skinny jeans, straight pants, pencil or midi skirts. The possibilities are there and they're many; it is time to play and have fun! For this look, I wanted to approach that cozyness of weekends and I think it is a perfect look for a brunch or a day shopping. Pants, Mango Sweater, Lindex Coat, Mango Shoes, Zara Bag, Cosi Bcn 5. OVERSIZED Probably one of my favourite looks ever when it comes to winter. For me winter is equivalent to oversized chunky sweaters, and the chunkier the better; I love them with everything and if combined with the right accessories they can be a great statement piece. We all own a couple of oversized sweaters at home, so I wanted to do a comfy look that we could have for a stroll in the park in the weekend with very basic garments in plane colours. Let me know what you think and don't forget to comment! Love /Mariona
