Storage in Miami
Let me tell you about the time when I tried something else. The time when I tried working in a storage in Miami. Let me also tell you a bit about myself first. I’m one of those people that can never really make up their minds. I’ve tried a lot of different stuff when it comes to work. Ever since I finished high school, it’s been like that. I don’t really know if it’s just restlessness or if I just feel like doing a variety of stuff. Since I’m an optimist, and the latter is the more optimistic out of the two, I’m going to say it’s my adventurousness. Let’s get to the point. I moved to Miami and started working in a storage facility. That came from nowhere, especially if you asked my friends and family. I just felt like moving to some place where I didn’t have to wear a hat 5 months every year. Wisconsin was my home, and it was always going to be, but storage in Miami sounded quite nice. Especially since I started to love surfing in my trip to Bali last year. I want to tell you how this all happened. I ran into an old friend as I was walking through my home town. This is several years now. At that point, I had been working at the same place for 2 years, which is very long for me. We talked for a while, decided to go for a beer later and did so. He told me that he is working in Miami, with storage. It came as a surprise. Last thing I heard about him was that he moved to the west coast but apparently he had switched after just a year. Miami and storage it was, and he had been doing that for quite some time. I asked him what it was like. He started talking about specific aspect of working in a storage in Miami. I had to stop him. I means what it was like living in Florida. What it felt like walking around and feel the heat in your face almost all the time. We talked about that for hours and we could have kept going if it wasn’t for the pub closing. When we ended the night, we hugged and said we should keep in touch. 3 days later he called me and said that the storage place in Miami will be hiring. I didn’t even want to hang up the phone. I got the chance to work in Miami, with storage and with one of my closest friends from childhood. This was an offer I couldn’t refuse. Storage in Miami it was.
