Dior Cruise 2016

From Louis Vuitton's spectacular resortshow in LA the other day, straight to Christian Dior's show that took place outside Cannes. The Pierre Cardin building called Le Palais Bulles (the bubble palace) where a very cool location. Apparently the location seems to be the new, important part for a fashion show. From Chanel's cruisecollection that got shown in South Korea's Dongdaemun Design Plaza, to Louis Vuitton's location in Palm Springs, at the futuristic Bob Hope house with a view over the city. The collection that Raf Simons created for Dior this season was kind of surprising, yet still very much Dior. Feminine, elegant and chic but slightly more modern and playful. A-line silhouettes, artistic prints as well as old-school plaid (worn in a modern way of course). The traditional Dior dresses were obviously seen in the collection, alongside skirts, wide pants and elegant tops. The collection even included some flip-flops! Kollektionen som Raf Simons skapade för Dior denna säsong var något överraskande, men fortfarande väldigt mycket Dior. Feminint, elegant och chict med mer modernt och lekfullt. A-linje silhuetter, artistiska print såväl som gammaldags rutigt (buret på ett modernt vis, såklart). De traditionella Dior klänningarna syntes givetvis i kollektionen, bland kjolar, vida byxor och eleganta toppar. Kollektionen inkluderade även flip-flops! Och ja, om både Louis Vuitton och Christian Dior visar flip-flops och hotpants så är det definitivt trender att räkna med.
