WALPURGIS & HAIRCUTS.

On Monday we celebrated Valborg here in Sweden, or Walpurgis night in English. I looked it up just now since I only know that it's the day when we celebrate the arrival of spring and return of light. Really interesting to read about actually! We light big bonfires in the evening, apparently to ward of witches. Pretty cool. Wikipedia page here, in case you're interested :)  But before our Valborg night-dinner mom decided that it was time for a change and handed me a pair of scissors :)  "cut off a good bit!" she said, and so I did.  And check out how good she looks!! She's a super happy customer 8-)  I asked mom to cut off a few centimetres as well, less of a change here though... looking at this I realise that however much I love my superlong hair I would quite like to make a bit of a change. Nothing radical maybe, just more actual hairdo and less demon-girl from The Ring. Hmm.  That afternoon it was time for me to start prepping dinner! Marinated salmon in soy, chili, lime & ginger.  Then when mom got home from work we opened the rainbow cava :))) 5 kronor of each bottle goes to the HBTQ-fund Regnbågsfonden (the rainbow-fund) and their work for human rights all around the world. A really good reason to go out and buy some cava right now I think.  I fried some prawns for a crispy starter :) perfect with aioli & bubbles!  Asian style marinated salmon, asparagus sautéed in italian butter & sel de camargue, fresh little potatoes & a cold sauce made from turkish yoghurt & ajvar. MMMMMM.  Mom loved it :) it's so nice to cook in an actual kitchen for a change, one with actual counterspace, four hot plates (we have two) and a proper oven. One day I will have a real kitchen. One day.  Tussen stayed close, just in case something were to fall off someones plate (and into his mouth). You never have a meal alone at moms place, hehe.  My best friend Egon stayed close too <3 he's pressed up against my leg as I type this, I'll miss his warm little body when I go back home tonight. Egon <3  The night continued on at a gay bar in the city, but I've already mentioned that :) A great Valborg all in all! Today I'm packing up, going out for sushi with mom, taking the dogs for a last walk this time around then heading out to the airport. See you tonight Paris!
