THE BONSAI AND OTHER STORIES.
The other night I went past Johans bar for a beer and to pick up a promised birthday present! He got me a bonsai tree! I'm very excited about my little tree, but also slightly intimidated. I've read up a bit on this particular tree and it sounds pretty temperamental! But I'm gonna give little Håkan (yes, he has been named) all the love and care I can :) here he is, riding the metro for the first time :D Håkans first elevator-ride! And finally, comfortably installed chez nous, with trusted bird-friend Svante (yes, everyone has a name) on a branch and surrounded by other green buddies. Welcome home Håkan, I hope you'll thrive here!! Earlier on that day I was hanging out with my littlest one, who for some reason, was in a very cranky mood. We struggled on for two hours, then it was time for a nap. I breathed a sigh of relief when he finally settled in the stroller and I kept my fingers crossed that a nap would turn the day around. Celebrated a moments peace and quiet with a big latte, the girl at Starbucks spelled my name right for the first time ever! Go Starbucks-girl!! I sat on this little bench for 45 minutes, pushing the stroller back and forth. He would wake up as soon as the movement stopped.. in the end he slept for around an hour and did wake up much happier! Yay for naps. Linda had bought these two cute little things in a pound shop back in England, they ended up being presents for my little girls (5 and 7 years old), BIG hit! Thank you Linda say my little ones <3 After three long days of work and no play I met up with Kat and Chuck, who is in town from the States. Hi Chuck! We went for a drink at little hole in the wall Un Vinito, where it turns out I know the people who run it from way back in the day! Such an unexpected, nice surprise. Super cute little place too, will definitely be going back soon. We shared a lovely bottle of Chilean red and a very blurry planche :))) I really need to get back in to the habit of carrying around my actual camera again, these phone pics need to stop. Sorry guys. Bye vinito, see you soon! Thanks Kat & Thanks Chuck for a nice night of catching up! Finishing this very mixed post with a pic of a porcelain pig that I bought today :) it's been filled with cotton buds and lives in our bathroom now. went out birthday pressie-shopping, quite the successful mission in the end, any mission that ends up with a few toys for myself is a success, right?? Now I need to get on to packing, tomorrow I'm jetting off for the weekend! More about that then! Night night loves x
