SNAPSHOTS FROM HELL.
This year I rode to Hellfest with Sylvain and his dad! The plan was for Duncan to come with us, but he had to stay in the city to deal with some business.. I managed to find him a car share that night, so he wasn't far behind. Here: obligatory McDo-stop. Two excited ones đ Arrived! As we were there the day before it kicked off only one part of the camping was open. We met up with the rest of the crew and set up. The weather was beautiful pretty much the whole time, well except for the ten minutes when it poured and I was halfway through setup.. Francis helped out and we only got a little bit soaked. Later that night I got a call from Angela! "Where are you? Can you see the big pink unicorn flag? Head towards it!" So I did, and we hung out at their camper van for a few hours. Fun to see a new area of the festival/camping after 6 years of going! Also good to spend some time with Angela, we rarely manage to actually catch up while we're there. Late, late that night D. finally arrived! Sylvain and I headed out in the darkness looking for him, we finally located each other and together lugged food & bevvies up and down slopes, over muddy puddles and all the way to camp. Phew! Celebrated the next day with breakfast-beer. The festival could kick off!! One night we ran in to these Irish nuts! Carro and I met Conor a few years ago, we bonded over mustard?! Haha.. turns out he was camping with a Swedish dude so we ended up hanging out quite a bit that year. We always run in to each other at Hellfest at some point :) At Warzone they've built these steps, where you can sit down and watch the stage. Very appreciated when you've been on your feet all day in the sun! Probably sent this pic to Sylvain, trying to get him to come and join us. "Come to warzone, we have pitchers!" >< Guillaume joined on Thursday, our group was complete :))) And lastly, a pic of Koritni sent to Kat! â€One more day of Hellfest to come, stay tuned!
