MUMMA BEAR PICTURE RAIN

This morning mumma bear hugged me goodbye and headed back to Stockholm :'( but we've had a great few days together, let's hop back and have a look! She arrived on Friday, today (Tuesday) is actually her birthday, but I couldn't wait.... :))))  This is how happy she was, haha! She got a super cute calendar to keep in her bag and these earrings that were shouting out her name in the shop I walked past. Match made in heaven :)  Got myself a nice and big calendar while I was at it, hehe. You may not know that I'm a bit of a stationary-nerd. <3 pens and paper <3 It was still around 36 degrees when she got in, I made us gazpacho to cool off. Mmmm. Definitely the dish of this summer.  Then came the rain!!!! First rain in weeks, a proper storm even! The crossing outside of our window flooded and the hail was the size of big ice cubes. A bit scary, but mostly super cool.  Mumma and I ran out :D there are few things better than standing outside in pouring rain. At least when you know that you can head straight home and change clothes straight away!  The storm kept us inside for the night, we had nibbles for dinner (sweet potato fries, aubergine, different cheeses etc) and played Trivial Pursuit.  I can't say that any of us are pros but we take it very seriously anyway, as you can see. Hehe.  Saturday was spent wandering around the Marais, a tradition when mom comes to town. While perusing my favourite shop Nature et Decouvertes, Duncan showed up like the man in the box! Surprise!! :D The Marais was beautifully decorated in rainbow colours <3 I bought a hat on second hat, but wasn't (still am not) entirely sure about it. Thought mom looked cute in it though! I'm picturing wearing it on the beach with a simple black bathing suit. Hmmm. We'll see.  Next stop: ice cream in montmarte! This place has flavours like carrot, hibiscus and lavender. Mom, who is the biggest ice cream fan I know, was very happy.  I didn't buy ice cream but I did buy shoes! Yay! Love these. But I've already gone on about that.  That night it was pizza-time, but (again) you already know that. Here's Duncan doing his best Pennywise-impression.  The rest of mumma bears stay was spent mostly along the Bassin de la Villette, in this little bookshop on a boat amongst other places.  And with more ice cream :)))  Today is moms birthday (HOORAY FOR MOM), we celebrated last night with dinner at Paname, their terrace is hard to beat... the photos from my actual camera can have a separate post as this would be never ending otherwise, hehe. Now I'm gonna put together a little dinner for one and maybe send mumma another happy birthday-message <3
