MAMMA MIA! & LAST DAY IN CROATIA.
The other day D. and I went to see the new Mamma Mia movie, I don't know how many times I went to see the first one in the cinema when it first came out. I was going through a bit of a tough time and it was just such a good feelgood, pick me up-film. I really enjoyed the new one too, even though I think Cher totally stole the show (excuse me, QUEEN Cher!). Anyway, we recognized some of the surroundings as it was shot in Croatia! At one point I even half shouted out: it's that restaurant!! it was a little place in Komiza (island of Vis) that we lived right next to for a couple of nights :) it reminded me that I still haven't gone through the very last of the photos from our Croatia island hopping-trip. So now, as the rain is spitting outside the window, let's have a look at our last summer night in the town of Hvar! The original idea was that we stay in Dubrovnik, on the main land, but after two weeks of quaint, quiet little islands, the last thing we wanted was a bustling tourist-hub. Now Hvar is pretty touristy as well, but it was an island we hadn't set foot on yet, and it was an island. So Hvar it was :) We arrived in the morning, checked in to a hostel (camping on the last night felt like a silly idea as we were leaving early the next day) and went out in search of a quick bite. I rejoiced over coke zero in glass bottles and Duncan ordered something tall and green. Hmm. We filled up on sandwiches and headed to a nearby beach. Then back to the hostel, where we packed, had last night-drinks and ate pomegranate straight from the garden (I'm looking at you Richard ;) ). The sunset was alright :))) That night we had a table booked at a place just around the corner from the hostel, Lungo Mare it was called. I was happy and D. was still favouring the zoom function on the camera. And with that I wrap up Croatia. Couldn't recommend it more, we had such a great time! Go visit all the little islands, I'd go back and do it all again :)the day after this we took a boat, a bus, a plane & a train and hop! we were back at home, in Paris. Back to reality - time to grab my non existent raincoat and head to work! Happy Friday guys <3
