LATELY IN PARIS.
To try to prevent all of you to get super tired of all the festival posts (there are so many more to come, hehe) I thought we'd break it up a bit with some Paris pics from in between Sweden Rock - Download and Hellfest! A couple of weeks ago my lovely Katharina did a pit stop in Paris, we hadn't seen each other for 2 years (!!!!!) at this point - WAY TOO LONG. Spent an early evening wandering around Montmartre. I forced her to tourist-pose by the wall of love <3 she taught me how to pronounce I love you in Russian (I immediately forgot, sorry K. :/ ), she spent a semester in Moscow recently, and soon she's off to Holland! Cool girl that one. Katharina and I met when she came to stay with us for a whole month, for french studies. I was hesitant to taking someone in for that long (what if we don't get along??) but am SO grateful that we decided to give her the go ahead. 4 years later and we're still super close <3 We talked about everything that has happened in the past two years, had a lovely dinner at home, watched a couple of episodes of The Office (she had never seen it! Needed to be rectified) and hugged goodbye the next morning. Promised each other that we wouldn't wait another 2 years until next meet up. Hopefully I'll go and visit her in Holland as soon as she's settled in :))) Here's a random pic of me with a mammoth from months ago. For good measure. I've managed to work a little bit in between all the festivaling. One afternoon me and the 4 year old hung out in Parc Monceau, in the shade with ice cream. She collected all the prettiest leaves she could find and elected me Princess of the forest :') Last week mom sent me this old gem!!! Mom, my brother and I, probably another Tuesday night in >< I'm kind of still loving my look??? Hehe Skip ahead to yesterday when I finally got to see my girls again!!! Kat and Linda behind the camera, I've really missed them. <3 I made gazpacho with lots of yummy stuff in it plus homemade croutons of course :))) big hit! Need to make more gazpacho this summer. That and home made ice tea are two things I'm getting really in to at the moment. Today I hung out with my two French kids. Played in the courtyard, told them about the concerts I've been to lately, showed a clip from Corpse Bride, took full advantage of their balcony. Balconies <3 June in Paris <3 Came home and made a quick salad for my late dinner! Only want to eat cold, fresh, healthy stuff at the moment. Let's see how long this lasts :)))) Now, back to Queer eye ( <3 <3 <3 ) before shower & bed. Night night loves!
