KAT'S BIG DAY

Yesterday when I was on the metro, listening to 90s hiphop in my big headphones, the cord got caught on something and came out of the jack. My phone was in my pocket, under my closed coat, under my heavy bag. Suddenly Diddy is shouting I NEED YOU TO GRIND LIKE YOU'RE WORKING FOR TIPS from inside of my jacket. I manage to turn it off after that but sort of wanted to sink through the ground, haha. Texted Kat who said it made her day, what I don't do for friends eh!  After having bought a pressie for Kat I stopped by the flower shop on the corner and picked this up for Linda! It's a red prayer plant and I sort of want one for myself as well.  I spent the afternoon with music and the oven, made a carrot cake!! I've realised that I really do quite like baking. I don't have a big sweet tooth though, so might have to work on my bread game instead.  But the carrot cake wasn't for me, it was for Kat ❤ it was her birthday and I wanted to surprise her :)))) was scared I would also surprise the whole building by setting off the fire alarm and did surprise myself by burning a nice cut into my right thumb. Worth it though. Got one blurry shot in the panic of everything.  After a vino, some snacks and us-time we headed over to Johan's to meet up with the birthday gang! These two ❤❤❤ I'm very lucky to have them both in my life.  Thomas was there, talking about all things moist >< And Jane, who is another Aussie :) she used to work at our favourite spot KB cafe!  And another American Kat - how have I ended up with so many Kats around me? It's getting hard to keep track of everyone, haha. Linda was looking beautiful as always. I didn't manage to get a single photo of myself, but I shall paint a picture: lace up black generously cleavage-d dress, high pony, docs and black eyeliner :))))  Duncan and I gave Kat a ticket to go see Limp Bizkit this summer (with me of course, can't wait 😁) and a hangover kit! Pizza, lemon schweppes, a face mask, pain killers. And the cake of course 🥕 Here's hoping you had a great birthday Kat, and that you live forever as my friend please :)))  Today started slow with pizza and netflix. Got a frozen pizza with chevre and bulked it up with more cheese, jalapenos, fresh tomato, creme fraiche and spinach. Tres yummy. Outside it's windy and rainy, in five minutes we have to face the weather to go pick up our laundry. Then I'm planning another baking project and a movie later on. Good Sunday.
