BE KIND TO YOURSELF.
Be kind to yourself is this weeks motto. I tend to be pretty hard on myself which leaves me tired, anxiety ridden and often a bit down - so this week I want to work on that. On that note, I had a really nice weekend! On Saturday Kat messaged and said she was craving Gin and tonic, said and done! We met up and went to Marks & Spencer, stocked up on all things nice (including gin & fancy lemonade) and headed back to hers. Spent the evening munching through this amazing spread, drinking refreshing gin cocktails and chatting about life. Good, good night <3 Yesterday I looked after the girls for a few hours, we spent most of it snuggled up on the couch in front of a movie. The 4 year old just wants to be near constantly these days, something I'm enjoying as much as possible while she still wants to. Nothing better then her curling up on my lap and telling me how good I smell. When the parents came home it was dusk and still 20 degrees outside! I decided to go for an evening walk. Wandering slowly throughout the city with this backdrop, a good podcast on and a warm spring breeze was the best thing I've done in a while. Today after a less then perfect sleep (lots of nightmares, just trying not to let them get to me) I treated myself to a delicious breakfast in front of foodie-Youtube clips. It's raining outside but the weather app tells me it's still 14 degrees, and the trees on our street are green! So life could be worse. As I'm writing this I've just spotted this guy on the opposite roof top :O sort of terrifying to watch as the roof is all wet and slippery.. he's right on the edge now, oh dear. Need to look another way I think. Time to get ready to pick up the girls! I sort of feel like walking (takes around an hour) even though it's very wet out there, hmmm. We'll see!
