ARRIVAL IN PUERTO DE VEGA.
I know that the posts are coming out a bit jumbled these days but I'm hoping that it's mostly me thinking about that! Just excited to get all the pics up as quickly as possible :) Anyway, on Monday afternoon we arrived in the little fishing village of Puerto de Vega, our home base for the coming week :) After a bit of a stroll and some grocery shopping in the tiny little shop we treated ourselves to a couple of beers at the little restaurant across from our place. D. had the extremely tart cider that they're known for in this region, it's always served in one of these little contraptions. If you don't have the machinery the tradition is to pour it in to your glass from as high as possible, something about aerating it, I think it's mostly just for show, but don't tell anyone... We ordered chorizo cooked in cider and croquetas :)))) And a big plate of langostinos, YES PLEASE Back at ours a bit later we carried on the snack style-dinner in front of The Bachelor Australia, a pretty good first day in this little town I'd say :) Cheers! Now I believe Duncan has finished making breakfast, chat later! x
