ANOTHER ABANDONED TOWN.
2 more posts from Croatia left guys, are you up for it?? Hope you are 'cause here we go :) Here is the little bay we stayed in on Hvar, our campground was called Mala Milna and was super cute. It was right next to two beautiful, quiet bays where you could float around (floatiest water I've ever swum in was around Croatia! Impossible to sink). The woman who ran the shop told us about a restaurant in an abandoned village nearby, you might know by now that I'm absolutely fascinated by that kind of thing so Duncan quickly rang up and booked us a table. I put on a flowery dress (how tan was I here??? Jealous of myself) and up we went. Up a long, winding, completely empty road. Just us and the trees. D. hunted & gathered nuts. And I wore flowers which I quickly decided against. Made me look bald. Haha. After a while of wondering if we were lost or had been tricked in to a trap in a classic horror movie-way we found this sign of life! A building that seemed to have work on going and even a car! Hooray. We wandered through the empty village in search of the (supposedly) still running restaurant. Now I don't remember much about the history of this place but you can check it out a bit more here! We finally made it!! We were very happy to see other living people, as it was getting dark very quickly. Their menu was basically the waitress asking "what kind of meat do you want?", love it. We wanted all kinds of meat so we got a mixed plate :) Duncan kept himself amused by taking super close up pics. I'll spare you from some of the other ones... Bye cute little place in spooky setting! Time for a terrifying walk down the pitch black abandoned road. No pics from that as it was literally too dark to see even one step ahead. Used the last of my phone batteries for the torch.. very cool experience all in all. Now, back to packing! :)
