A PACKED WEEKEND WITH GIN, COSTCO AND A PHOTO SHOOT.
Friday was our big fix it day! We had a guest arriving on Saturday morning so wanted to make sure the place looked and felt cosy and welcoming. At this stage it didn't really... Hours and hours of work went in to it, D's area of responsibility was the new bed, which turned out to be a bit broken... After a million (or thereabouts) chores I sat down with a cold sol. Then I got back on to scrubbing surfaces... After a full days work we ended up with a clean & tidy home, and a functioning bed! Yay! Decided that we were done at that stage and headed over to friends place, Chris and Kat's. Our goal for the night was super cool place, Treize. They were doing a Gin tasting with Swedish brand Hernö and we were invited! How cute is the cat bottle?? There were little nibbles as well, this little cheese toasties were amazeballs. There were all sorts of yummy gin based drinks. I especially liked the G&T that was served in a little tea cup. So cute. Treize was just a really cool place over all, with lots of fun little trinkets to look at. I've heard that they do an amazing brunch, so that's our next goal! Duncan and Nick ended up behind the bar, making martinis for 30 Swedish gin makers, haha! And we all ended up at IPN, a late night bar where our buddy Thibaut works, and also where my left shoes' heel randomly fell off! So strange, had to walk home barefoot, haha. On Saturday, after we had welcomed our new house guest (who is super nice, hi Julia!), we were off to Costco! I had no idea that it even existed in France, but there you go. It was huge and had lots of fun stuff to investigate (including doghouse for unruly boyfriend), but I was way too hungover to really enjoy it. It really is true what they say, hangovers get SO much worse with age 🤢I also got in trouble with the staff for walking the wrong way to get to the toilets (?!) and sitting down to wait for the others to finish up. Two big burly security guys came up and huffed and puffed me up. Seemed a bit ridiculous to me, especially in my fragile state.. left an angry note before we headed back to Paris, hehe. After Costco I had time for a quick nap before babysitting, felt so much better at that stage. Really lovely to curl up with the kids on the couch and watch Ratatouille and eat sweets ❤ And that brings us to today! It was photo shoot time!! Linda and Thomas, who are a fantastic duo, had asked me if I could take some promo shots for them. Well yes, of course I can! Was really excited about it actually. I think we got some real gems 😊 We scouted locations along the canal, I got super in to it which you can see here, haha. Thanks Thomas for the blog pics 😙😉I took almost 700 photos in the end (!) so they'll take a while to go through, but I'll be sure to post some faves here soon! Now I'm gonna watch TV in bed for the rest of the night, it's been a full on weekend. Phew!
