20 PHOTOS FROM THE WEEKEND.
On Friday both D. and I had the day off, so together with Saturday I'm counting that as the weekend. So our weekend started with a trip to the Epicerie Anglaise! Even when we go just to get the one thing we always end up coming out with a bag of stuff. There's just so much fun stuff!! Jalapeno jerky for example!! And cheetos! I still prefer Swedish Cheez doodles from the brand OLW, but that's probably mostly for nostalgia reasons. These are a good alternative when one can't get one's mitts on the doods. Did some other shopping (visited three stationary stores, Marks & Spencer's and the Turkish place that sells halloumi for example) and wandered around together. Found this super creepy costume rental place. D. was intrigued. When we needed a break we sat down at the Mauri 7 for a pint. A super dingy place that we both happen to have a soft spot for. Taste tested our two different liquid smokes, the initial reason to our outing that day! Admired their cool flipper game. This is my favourite kind of day with D. When we just get to hang out, wander around, chat about all kinds of stuff, share a drink. Very simple, but something we don't get to do very often due to very different schedules. Makes me really appreciate the little things. Then we wandered back home, had a glass of clear chilled rosé plus halloumi burgers for dinner. Watched Salem, hung out. A pretty great Friday. Saturday started out slow, with breakfast in bed: home made breakfast buns (by moi), halloumi, scrambled egg, tomato, avocado and coffee. Mmm. Then I spent most of the day with one of the things I bought on Friday, my bullet journal!!I gave the bujo a half assed go a couple of years ago, lately I've been watching lots of videos that just look amazing and this year I promised myself I would give it an honest go. So far I absolutely LOVE it. I know it's been less than a week, but I really hope this feeling lasts! At six it was time to put the pen down and have an early dinner: buffalo cauliflower in a tortilla, topped with nacho cheese (also an Epicerie Anglaise-find), tomato, cucumber, avocado and my home-pickled red onions. MMMMM. Then on with the glitter! MORE GLITTER. We were off to Johan's! Linda had brought this little thumb piano (I think that's what it was called??), so cool to see an instrument I didn't even know existed?! Kat was behind the bar, I sent this pic to Richard who would be in touch throughout the night. We needed to feel like he was there with us! Made sure Alex represented Sweden (although he is French), cause it was Eurovision time!! Cheesiest night of the year, but I love it >< Very serious faces, haha! In the end a song I don't even remember won, but I'm still holding on to the fact that Sweden won the jury's vote! A really good fun night and perfect weekend!
