Monday, injuries and plans for the week
Hey Monday, how're you guys feeling? I'm so happy today, the sun is shining through the window and today is the first day that my back's felt okay since I injured it two weeks ago. Basically what happened was that I hurt my sacroiliac joint and its ligaments (the lower part of my back) and ever since it happened I've been in so much pain. On Thursday last week I even had to go into the bathrooms at uni to call W because I was crying so much. So you can imagine how happy I am now that its more of a dull ache than an aggressive stabbing pain haha! Because of the back I'm not allowed to exercise at the moment, except for long walks, which has actually been quiet nice. I know I'm going to have to do go back to basics once I enter the gym again and that I will have to progress slowly - but I'm just so excited to start! I think it was good for me to get forced into taking this break as it has fuelled my motivation. My take away message for myself from this injury is that it is important to take a break every now and then to refuel. Our bodies are incredible, but they also need time to recharge. Anyways, should we have a look at what's happening this week?Monday: studying from home & seeing my chiropractor in the afternoon. Tuesday: studying, studying, studying. Exams are coming up and I want to become a genius at anatomy! Wednesday: a long day at work but that's okay because my bestie is finally back! How good is it to work with some of your best friends??Thursday: university in the morning and then I'm hoping to be able to go to yoga again, fingers crossed!Friday: a full day of seminars and tutorials at uni. Once I've ticked everything off my to-do list I'm seeing some friends for bubbles in the sunshine. Can't wait! Hope you have a nice and relaxing start to your week ♥
