Statistics-poem by Matt Borczon

Statistics

I heard

there were

700 child

deaths this

year in

Afghanistan

and each

one has

the face

of that

tiny girl

we buried

in Helmand

in 2010

they stare

into my

nightmares

through the

holes we

shot in

their sky.

Matthew Borczon is a poet from Erie, Pa he has published 6 books of poetry the latest being the Smallest coffins are the Heaviest through Epic Rites Press. He publishes widely in the small press.
