Our Discussions and Ignorance-poem by Sravani Singampalli

We discuss about how we can winAnd sometimes about how we lost.We discuss great peopleTheir charm, palaces and Money. We can talk hoursAbout those expensive clothing brandsLevis, Park Avenue, Allen SollyAnd so on goes the endless list.We talk about cricket, natureAnd places to be visited. We cannot ignore those roadside stallsSelling our favourite foodBut we do ignore many things. We ignore the torn clothesWe ignore the slumsWe never discuss aboutHands with scratchesAnd those unhealed wounds. We discuss about fresh rosesAnd forget the wilted flowersWe discuss health and youthBut we don’t think aboutHealing and the oldWe never discuss solutions.
