Not The One That Looks Like The Moon At some point,I want to pull you asideand point outthe oblong trajectoryof that satellite.Not the one that looks likethe moon, but the one withall the televisionprogramming,even the showswith the cussing andgratuitous nudity.It is tumbling throughwintered sky, that satellite with the wobbly panels andthe infomercials, too.That satellite isour greatest metaphor,reminding us thatone day man woke upwith hubris in his bed andsaid “this is howwe will upend the gods.” Poem by Steve Brightman Drawing by Janne Karlsson
