BURBERRY SS19 : RICCARDO TISCI
Riccardo Tisci showed his debut collection for Burberry in London during FW, and wow. The collection truly represented Tisci as a designer but still kept the typical Burberry touch, the trench coat, the beige tones, the pattern etc. However was it not all thanks to Tisci that Burberry is on every billboard right now. Burberry got a new place in the spotlight after Christopher Bailey became their chief creative officer a few years ago - he gave it a youth touch which made the brand 'accessible' for different generations. Tisci was sort of able to creative a more 'rocky' collection due to Bailey. I gathered some of my favourite pieces from the collection and thought I would show you, also for you interested the collection will be out in stores spring. The coat in the picture above is just amazing. I love how it got the Burberry pattern but still doesn't feel old fashion at all - the details really makes the coat. Sleeves, buttons, length - perfect! Tisci also presented his new logo for Burberry. Personally I think its quite rude, okay maybe not rude but still not really okay, to create a whole new logo for a brand that have had the same since it was founded. It was the same when Demna Gvasalia changed Balenciagas logo. I need these shoes! Perfection. These two coats speaks for themselves. If I had all the money in the world I would buy them both. In love.
