Sydney Royal Easter Show

Just came home from a weekend in Sydney with the Cutts, and two nights at the Cutts house in Wallabi. We stayed at the most amazing house in Balmain East, a suburb in Sydney 10 min drive from Circular Quay. Everything was absolutely perfect in Sue's friends house at Balmain, view over the harbour, if you're standing on the driveway you could see half of the Harbour Bridge, which means you're very close to the city! Anyway, I left Oxley Island early Saturday morning, spent half the day looking at apartments in Newcastle with Sue, David and Zoe. And the off to Sydney after lunch time with 1 h 45 min drive left. Had dinner in some random suburb and then "home" to Balmain to sleep. Sunday, shopping day at Birkenhead Point. Bought a really nice pair of highwaisted shorts with crocheted bottom. That night Zoe and I cruised around Sydney ourselves while the others were at the Opera Bar next to the Opera House (obviously). We cought a bus to George street and watched American Pie at the movies that we found with a bit of help from the local people. On Monday we went to the Sydney Royal Easter Show, it was huuuge, and quite good, expensive, but fun. Didn't go on any rides though, because it was really expensive but anyway. I also found something really tempting; salt liqourice - which I did buy!  Tuesday, we went back in to the city for some shopping - didn't buy anything. We drove back home to Taree that afternoon, and arrived late that night to Wallabi, so I decided to stay over a night... And another night... Felt so strange being away (for only 5 days) and come back home to Oxley Island when I had stayed with Cutts for almost a week again. It's funny this, how home I feel still, I'm confident enough to just go in to any of my host families houses and just feel like home! They were total strangers for me 9 months ago, and today I just walk in to the house (without knocking) and shout "I'm HOOOME" oooh, well... maybe not shout that I'm home, but you see my point. It's funny isn't it?
